I liked your first submission to the contest. I like this even more! I love the atmosphere it creates, the mixing sounds great to me and it fits the art nicely.

I would like to see more progression in your pieces as they seem lose their appeal quite fast as they are, though I guess it's more a matter of personal preference than advice you should take seriously. But because of this I end up liking the ending a lot as well even though it comes kind of suddenly and is different than the rest of the song.

Keep up the good work, earned yourself a new fan! :)

Glad to hear! Thanks for listening and leaving a review :D

I'm usually for having more variation, but since I'm kinda unexperienced in cinematics I don't play around as much with melodies I guess. It's like... I don't really know how to go about having nice transitions, adding new elements to the song without disturbing the flow :p

I'll see if I can add some more variation today!

Thanks again! :D

What a wonderful piece of music! To me it has a very relaxing effect. I listen to the mixing with envy, because each instrument seems to find it's rightful place and everything is in perfect balance. It's something I struggle with so I really have to compliment on a job well done!

Mattashi responds:

Thanks Thonz! And I know what you mean I also struggle allot with mixing and still have allot to learn.

I really have to wonder how you can't consider yourself a musician or composer when you create music like this!? A few weeks ago I heard the piece of yours about Pompeii and loved it. After that I've slowly been going through all of your songs and hearing how much you've developed (though not even your first compositions are bad) in only a few years really motivates me to work hard with my music. I'm only a beginner myself but witnessing the development you've made and how professional your stuff sounds nowadays makes me feel like I could achieve something similar. So thanks I guess :P

Emid responds:

Thanks a lot for your very uplifting comment Thonz.
I would just say I am still nothing as compare to the people here. People like you give me motivation to become better and better, thanks a lot for that.
I can share a secret with you to improve your musicmanship. Be respectful with fellow musicians. And be a good listener to both the advices and the quality music. Wish you best of luck in your musical journey.

I've listened to quite a few of your songs. I really lack the knowledge or understanding of music to give you any constructive feedback, but I wanted to say that your talent and skill level especially with the piano seems mighty impressive to me. I've only just begun playing the piano and while my style is or will be different, to be able to put the the level of emotion into my music as you do is something I aspire to. This may seem slightly exaggerated but it is the way I've felt while listening to your songs.

WingoWinston responds:

When you are exposed to emotional trauma, go to your piano. It does not matter what your skill level is; If there is real emotion put in to the piece then it will be reflected onto the listener. I appreciate your compliments very much and thank you for the review!

I'm an engineering student, whose played electric guitar as a hobby for a few years. Recently I've began trying to compose music of my own. Hopefully someday I'll even be good at it.
